The walking stick is one of humanity's earliest tools, employed by travelers on their pilgrimages in ancient times. Today, it remains a staple for hikers and explorers during their journeys. Yet, beyond its practical utility, the stick is laden with symbolism. Throughout history, it has served as a marker of social status: from the king's scepter to the pope's pastoral staff, to the bourgeoisie's ostentatious displays of wealth. Thus, the stick is not merely a functional tool but also a vessel for conveying diverse messages, communicating with others.

The "Re-stick" project embodies this notion through the creation of 27 walking sticks crafted using various techniques, colors, materials, and shapes. Emphasizing the production process, construction, and assembly of these elements, Re-stick offers a distinct and unique interpretation for each object, evoking a range of sensations. Furthermore, the project sheds light on hidden aspects such as the time invested, the materials utilized, and the techniques employed, adding layers of depth to the narrative surrounding each stick.
