“Weltschmerz” is a Facebook page which survived for a few months between 2013 and 2014, before facing multiple bans for explicit content. The main themes of the page were nihilism, suicide and violence. The modern meaning of the german word Weltschmerz is the psychological pain caused by sadness that can occur when realizing that someone’s own weaknesses are caused by the inappropriateness and cruelty of the world and by physical and social circumstances. The author of the page is to us still unknown.
